 Research,
Knowing more is the first defense

The role of indoor allergens in the creation and triggering of allergies and asthma is the subject of a great deal of ongoing research with interesting new studies conducted and published regularly.

While there is a general consensus that reduced allergen exposure is very beneficial, many questions are still being studied, including the benefit of different allergen reduction methods, how long the effects last, how different types of allergens are affected, and how low do allergen levels need to be brought in order to provide health benefits.

As the only company in the New York Metro area dedicated to reducing allergen levels in the home, we base our services on knowledge, and are constantly following new developments to improve our services.

Below you can find some links to interesting articles about allergens and allergen reduction.

Conclusion: New Mattresses can become a significant source of exposure to mite allergens after a short period of time (< 4 months). There is little justification for advising patients to replace their mattress as part of an avoidance regime.

Conclusion: In this group of patients, mite allergen avoidance in the bed by the use of allergen-impermeable bedding alone cannot be recommended as an effective way of relieving asthma symptoms

Conclusions: Among inner-city children with atopic asthma, an individualized, home-based, comprehensive environmental intervention decreases exposure to indoor allergens, including cockroach and dust-mite allergens, resulting in reduced asthma-associated morbidity.
